Obituary for Louise C. Roemer
Louise C. Roemer, age 91, of Boulder, Colorado passed away September 26, 2022 after a sudden illness.
Born in Battle Creek, Michigan on April 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late R. Wayne and Vera (Berry) Bird. Louise is survived by her children Marie and Kimberly.
Louise attended local Michigan schools. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit, Mercy College.
Louise loved living in Boulder and was very active in the community since 1991. Louise worked as a part-time registered nurse with in-home patients and became Vice President of the Nurses ln-Home Association. She volunteered for the Legion of Mary visiting people in their homes, sharing her love and devotion to Mary. Her devotion to scripture and prayer was shared with her Sacred Heart of Jesus Small Church community. She was a member of the Flatirons Garden Club; always sharing “that arranging flowers was very relaxing”. While an active member of the YMCA, Louise participated in the Cause for Paws Walkathon, a fundraiser for the Humane Society, raising money for animals.
Her passions included her love of cats, collecting mint quarters or stamps and bird watching.
Memorial services for Louise will take place in Boulder, Colorado, on October 28, 2022 at Sacred Heart of Jesus at 10 a.m. See details below.
